NAHB Night Out
Fri., Aug. 16 - 7:00-10:00 p.m. - McMenamin’s Crystal Ballroom
One of Portland’s most celebrated exports is its beer. The McMenamin Breweries are considered one of the top breweries in the Portland metropolitan area with more than 30 breweries and wineries bearing their name. It’s only fitting that our 2013’s Networking Night Out take place in a venue that represents a large part of Portland’s culture. You’ll enjoy networking in this historic venue (opened in 1914) and get the chance to let your hair down on the only “mechanical” dance floor left in the United States! McMenamin’s is about a 15-minute walk from the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower. In keeping with Portland’s laid-back attitude, casual attire is encouraged. $35 gets you a full buffet dinner and dessert, drink tickets and live entertainment.
Sightseeing Bus Tour (optional) - Tues., Aug. 13 8:30 a.m. - off site
Tour the scenic Oregon Gorge and Mt. Hood, with likely stops at Multnomah Falls, the Bonneville Dam, Timberline Lodge and other cool places. Less than 30 minutes from downtown Portland, the Columbia Gorge marks the spot where the mighty Columbia River carves its way through the Cascade Mountains on its journey to the sea. Designated as a National Scenic Area, the gorge is a spectacular river canyon 85 miles long and up to 4,000 feet deep. Carved by volcanic eruptions and Ice Age floods over millions of years, the gorge is the only sea-level route through the Cascade Mountains. The cataclysmic floods also transformed flowing river tributaries into hanging waterfalls creating the largest concentration of waterfalls in North America. Cost is $15, and includes the chairlift ride on Mt. Hood. If you'd like to get signed up, please send an email directly to email@example.com.

Topics covered will include: working with the developer and builders, creating an event experience for attendees, marketing, sponsorships, special features, the overall show look, concessions, security and a host of related operational issues. You will also get to hear from a couple of the builders about their experience in the show. Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel and the show site. Lunch is also included.
