Lumber Tariff Talking Points Featured in Monthly Update
To help members articulate key housing priorities, NAHB’s Monthly Update provides the latest messaging framework for the Federation. Some highlights for this month include issue updates and talking points related to:
- A major win for NAHB related to President Trump’s April 2 announcement of tariff exceptions for Canada and Mexico;
- A 6-month delay on HUD’s 2021 IECC Rule; and
- NAHB Chief Economist Dr. Robert Dietz’s analysis of builder sentiment and how tariffs may impact home construction.
