HBAs Raise More Than $55,000 to Support BUILD-PAC
Home builders associations (HBAs) across the nation are beginning to raise funds for BUILD-PAC, NAHB’s bipartisan political arm, during its 2025-26 cycle. BUILD-PAC supports the election of pro-housing and pro-building candidates for federal office.

In February, Kansas City Home Builders Association (KCHBA) organized a day of indoor go-kart racing. Members suited up with protective gear and helmets, looking the part of professional racers as they raised money for BUILD-PAC.
KCHBA staged a Kansas vs. Missouri competition between those residing on either side of the Kansas City border, and with more than 100 people in attendance, the teams were energized. Kansas pulled away with the victory and celebrated at a podium with medals, as all winners should.
In total, KCHBA raised more than $40,000.
“We told people, look, ‘We hit our goals every year,’” said Jordynn Webster, director of community relations at KCHBA. “A portion of that money comes back so that we can combat local issues here, too. We’re always combating anti-housing policy in Kansas City, and this money goes a long way in helping us do that.
“We’re a government affairs-focused association. Different associations have their niches; advocacy is ours.”
In March, the Black Hills Home Builders Association hosted its Home Show social event, gathering members for a night of drinks and networking as well as live and silent auctions.
More than 260 members listened on as industry leaders including NAHB Chairman Buddy Hughes spoke about the importance of BUILD-PAC’s advocacy efforts and help getting builders a seat at the negotiating table.
“If you’re an executive officer and you care about your association and the mission of housing for all, you should care about the PAC,” said Rachelle White, executive vice president for the Black Hills Home Builders Association. “At the end of the day, when we have wins in D.C., it affects your builders and members and the people buying homes.
“Being a home owner is part of the American dream and everybody deserves to have that opportunity.”
