Why Join the Leading Suppliers Council?

The NAHB Leading Suppliers Council (LSC) is a special NAHB standing committee that gives building industry suppliers, manufacturers and service providers opportunities to participate in NAHB activities, have an impact on housing policy and initiatives, and gain direct access to NAHB members.

Active in NAHB at all levels, LSC members serve as a unique problem-solving resource on a variety of issues. Members work closely with NAHB’s senior officers (who serve as the key decision makers for national housing policy) to ensure that the interests of suppliers are properly conveyed and considered during policy development activities.

NAHB originally establish the Leading Suppliers Council in 1964 as the Suppliers Council for association. Today, the council is about more than just products and services. It is a multifaceted supplier resource for the building industry that works to represent the business interests of its members through advocacy, education and networking.

The LSC is comprised of the building industry’s leading suppliers that commit to the LSC Performance Promise — subscribing to the highest product and service standards — which sets them apart from all other manufacturers and service organizations.

For example, one of the best ways to have your company spotlighted is to participate in The New American Home built annually in conjunction with the International Builders’ Show. As the official show home of the International Builders Show, The New American Home gives building industry professionals an opportunity to see new design trends, construction techniques and materials that can be used in any new or remodeled home. The products featured in the home are provided by LSC members.
