Associate Advocate of BUILD-PAC Award
The Associate Advocate of BUILD-PAC Award was established in 2000 by NAHB’s political action committee, BUILD-PAC, to recognize the most outstanding Associate member advocate on the local, state and national levels. The award acknowledges an Associate member who is ardently loyal and diligently fundraises for BUILD-PAC.
Award recipients are selected based on their demonstrated BUILD-PAC advocacy, including leadership roles in BUILD-PAC fundraising at the local, state and national level; efforts to increase Associate members’ understanding of the importance of BUILD-PAC and to encourage grassroots participation and growth; and overall enthusiasm and service.
A panel of three judges — comprising a past NAHB Associate Members Committee chair, BUILD-PAC subcommittee chair and BUILD-PAC subcommittee vice chair — review the nominations received and select a recipient based on the aforementioned criteria.
Each local may submit one nominee for each award directly to NAHB. State HBAs can submit one nominee for each award directly to NAHB as well.
The award is presented at the NAHB International Builders’ Show.
