The Lake House is a single-family home designed by Baysinger Architects LLC and built by Black & Sons Construction using 6.5- and 10.25-inch structural insulated panels (SIPs) manufactured by Energy Panel Structures (EPS). This family lake house project selected SIPs because of its ability to complete building envelopes quicker by three ways: structure, insulation and exterior skin. This enabled other trades to start earlier than anticipated.

This project was designed with clean horizontal lines, with a touch of Frank Lloyd Wright, including many cantilevered porches, roof, etc. One very interesting design to this build is the limited exterior post. The soffit was also designed to house the roof drainage system, which ran the drain through the interior walls.
